Ludlow's Resort Childrens Activity / Amenity The "Iceberg"

I thought it would be fitting that on a day like today when we were just blessed with an abundance of snow (over 6inches over night ) that I tell every one out there about one of our guest favorite activities and or amenities the “Iceberg”.
The Iceberg is an 8ft tall inflatable climbing wall, it has four sides to it total and three of the four sides have climbing handles placed all over, and then the fourth side is smooth so that once you have climbed the Iceberg you can slide or bounce your way down into the water. The Iceberg is located safely inside our swimming area, and it is also anchored down so that it will stay in one location.
I have personally seen children and adults play on the Iceberg all day long until the sun is setting. Year after year guest always make sure that we still have the Iceberg and that their family and kids can’t wait to get here to play on it.
I have posted a picture that was generously donated from a friend of mine and guest Megan Paradis, the picture is of her younger brother Drew on top of our Iceberg at the resort. Thank you Megan for the pictures of your family at our resort, I would also like to take this time to thank the rest of the Paradis', Brett and Barb for being such great guest and for taking my friend and I out tubing this past summer, it was awesome having you at the resort as usual.
Have a good one

Thank you Odyssey, From Frozen Lake Vermilion

Good morning, or afternoon depending on when your reading this. I hope every one had a good Thanks Giving holiday weekend. I just got back from my vacation to Oklahoma to visit some friends and as I arrived back to Beautiful Lake Vermilion in Cook MN I definetly noticed a climate change especially since I just went through the Twin Cities and that is only about 3 hours away from us up here, There is snow all over the place and the major problem was all the rain that froze, but I am safe and back to my little corner of paradise.

Today I would like to thank a group that came to stay at our resort this past fall, they are also in the resort business and it was a pleasure to have them at our resort. I would like to thank the Odyssey group, they were a fun group to host and we hope to have them back again next year.
Have a Great Day from the Iced over north

From a Frozen Ludlow's Island Resort

The rumors are true, last night we got hit by a good size snow storm, I guess it wasnt really that bad but it got really cold and we probably got at least 3 inches of snow. I woke up and the most beautiful site was to look out on to the lake and see that the water was gone and the water was frozen as far as I could see and snow was on top the ice, it looked like it the perfect Holiday card that the scene is painted on except this was real. The part that wasnt as nice was having to go out and work in that same beautiful weather since my perception definetly changed once I was outside experience the weather first hand. But I can almost say that all my outside duties for now are almost over which will be nice and a little weird to adjust too.
This will be my last Blog for a while since I am leaving on a small vacation over the next week to visit some friends that live in Oklahoma with some of my friends up here. I will keep an eye on this site if any one decides to visit or blog me back.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving week, eat some turkey and fall asleep watching football for me.

Emmer Wedding on lake vermilion

This summer our resort had the pleasure of hosting Jill and Patrick Emmers wedding and this was a fun and awesome wedding. I love to work weddings just because of the fact that it is a very happy and special event, and it is almost contagious when you get to work an event like this.
Jill and Patrick sent us a Thank you card this fall and it once again proved how nice of a couple they are, and it made me smile big. Dont worry you two I am here at Ludlow's Resort For another year at least, so I am really excited to have you back this next summer season. Also once again from all of us here at Ludlow's Island Resort we wish you the best of luck and happiness in your life together.

Thank you from Ludlow's Island Resort on Lake Vermilion

Good Morning!
Today I would like to say thank you to a few guest of ours this past summer that have taken the time to send us a thank you card.
Today I would like to personally, and on behalf of the Ludlow's thank the Trezona family for their card. This family is awesome, it is always a delight to have them at our resort, I would also like to thank Allison and Victoria for their personal thank you's that they wrote me on their very pretty pink stationary. It always puts a smile on my face to look at those and remember the good times that were had this summer on Ludlow's Island.

Hello from Ludlow's Island Resort

Hello my name is John Burger, I am the Assistant Island Manager for Ludlow's Island Resort. I have decided to try out this technology stuff and start a Blogger account for our resort. I figured I could help answer questions about our resort, or for past and current guest to share their experiences with me, good or bad. This way I can find out what we do well and what we struggle on, since I am always looking for ways to improve my work performance.
Another thing I have been hoping to do is gather some pictures of our guest that have stayed at our resort in the past, since we would like to start posting some of these pictures on our website in a gallery or something of that nature.
so feel free to drop me a line and say Hi.
Have a good one.
